On or around June 24th, a complaint was made to the Newnan Police Department regarding inappropriate contact between John Franklin Caldwell III and an unknown minor.
The complaint was turned over to investigators with the Newnan Police Department and as a result on July 8th, 2025, Caldwell was arrested and booked in the Coweta County Jail on the following charge:
– Child Molestation (F)
As of July 15th, 2025, Caldwell remains in jail without bond.
The next movement will come when the District Attorney’s Office presents the allegations to a Grand Jury who will then, if sufficient evidence exists, return an Indictment.
