It argues that the indictment is defective due to technical issues, such as vagueness, lack of clarity, or failure to include essential details required to adequately inform the defendant of the charges against them. Unlike a general demurrer, which contests the legal sufficiency of the entire indictment (e.g., arguing it fails to state a valid crime), a special demurrer focuses on specific procedural or technical deficiencies in how the indictment is written.
