Just after Midnight on July 13th, 2025, members of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office were contacted and made aware that a victim of a possible attack had arrived at Piedmont Newnan Hospital for treatment. Deputies arrived at the hospital to speak with the victim who informed them that the incident had occurred earlier at Whitlock Park off International Park.

Over the next several hours CCSO investigators collected further information that lead them to identify the alleged attacker as Anthony Richardo Morrison, 35, of Palmetto.

Later on July 13th, 2025, Morrison was arrested and booked in the Coweta County Jail on the following charges:

– Rape (F)
– Aggravated Assault (F)

As of July 15th, 2025, Morrison remains in jail without bond.

The next movement will come when the District Attorney’s Office presents the allegations to a Grand Jury who will then, if sufficient evidence exists, return an Indictment.
